Meet the Department Sofa, part of our New Danish Collection — clean, elevated, and quietly beautiful in that effortless Scandinavian way.

What makes this one special is the balance. A simple, solid wood base in American oak or American walnut floats on slim black powder-coated steel legs, creating a refined platform for the soft, rounded arms and back. It feels architectural, but still warm. Light in profile, yet grounded.

The lines are clean and elegant. Smart and comfortable without being overly plush. It’s supportive, structured, and designed to hold its shape beautifully over time.

Inside, it’s built with intention: a solid wood base, woven seat-belt webbing suspension, high-density polyurethane foam, and feather and fiber wrapping on all cushioning for that perfect blend of resilience and softness. And just as importantly, it’s made without toxic components — something we care deeply about.

The Department is available as a sofa in two lengths, or you can build something larger from 11 modular sections. We’ve pre-configured six configurations that work beautifully in most spaces, but if you’d like to design your own custom layout, just reach out — we’re always happy to help you put it together.
