Meet the Chubby Stool – the ultimate blend of function and flair. Made-to-order by the talented Robert Saltonstall right here in West Oakland, each stool is solid ash and sports a classic Scandinavian soap finish. Sturdy enough to pull double duty as extra seating or a side table, plus, with its sculptural vibe, it's not just furniture, it's art – plain and simple.

Our friend Robert Saltonstall is an artist with a background in painting and sculpture, construction and cabinet-building. Most recently, he has been building objects at his West Oakland studio with a focus on humor and pleasure, each based on a general design that is improvised on the lathe. Robert is committed to sourcing domestic wood and putting investment back into the East Bay community.
