Ends and begins me is created in Ania’s San Francisco studio, using notional forms and bold pigment to create a distinctive, graphic piece. A product of its environment, the painting is named after a phrase, lyric or quote that the artist heard whilst creating the work. Whether from a song, audiobook, podcast or overheard from a passer-by, each phrase has stuck with the artist and is definitively linked to her perception of the painting.

IF A THEN B is a design studio creating handmade objects for everyday living. Founded by Ania Brzeski, the studio partners directly with makers in Portugal and Mexico, working in clay and wool to curate a collection of objects that celebrates the process as part of the finished piece.

The studio began as a ceramic practice in 2017, and has grown to encompass tableware, original artworks, textiles and prints. An ever-evolving project, our crucial aim is to create sustainable and reciprocal relationships with craftspeople and workshops to promote their skills and processes.
